Job Description
University Marketing and Communications is looking to add a
student intern for the Spring term. This position would involve the
following tasks:
Maintenance of the University Calendar and Newsroom entries
Help manage and update web pages using our web content management system (Serena Collage)
Support web staff's completion of projects by performing various communication/administrative/research tasks
Maintenance of the official university MySpace and Facebook accounts
To be efficient as possible, the student worker should:
Quickly learn the new university web content management system
Communicate clearly with non-technical clients
Be detailed oriented and able to understand copy editor changes (mark up)
Have a basic understanding of HTML code and Cascading Style Sheets
Have experience with using web editing software
Have experience with using photo editing software
Have a basic understanding of the university web server (ORION), and ideally have previous experience making changes and posting files to the server (preferred but not required)
