CSIS 494: Data Mining

Description
Data Mining involves the search for patterns in large quantities of data. This course covers the fundamental methodology and techniques used in data mining. The techniques addressed include, but are not limited to, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, regression, and use of multiple predictive models. Software is used to implement these techniques, and the student must complete a project using either the Clementine mining package. Examples from various industries will be examined.
